Getting Started {#getting-started}

What is the Flowye Licensing System and who is it for?

A: Flowye Licensing System is a Unity Editor plugin by Dummics (Italy) used by VRChat avatar Creators to add license activation to their avatar packages. End Users who purchase those avatars may need to complete an activation step when preparing an upload.

Licensing & Activation {#licensing-activation}

What does a Creator License allow? Can I use it on multiple avatars?

A: A Creator License is typically issued per avatar project. If you want to protect multiple avatar projects, you should expect to obtain additional licenses. For the exact scope and restrictions, refer to Creator Terms of Service.

Do End Users need to pay or sign anything?

A: End Users do not purchase a separate Flowye license and are not asked to enter a separate purchase agreement with Dummics just to use a protected avatar. The avatar purchase is handled by the Creator's storefront/marketplace. During activation you may be asked to authenticate or enter a code provided by the Creator.

Privacy & Security {#privacy-security}

What info does the plugin collect, and why?

A: The system is designed to process limited identifiers to verify licenses and prevent abuse (e.g., VRChat identifiers, hashed device/network identifiers, and activation logs). See Privacy Notice for the specific data items, purposes, and retention.

Is my data secure?

A: We use security measures (including encryption in transit and access controls) appropriate to a licensing service. Hosting providers may be located in the United States (e.g., SparkedHost or other providers). See Privacy Notice for the current description of data handling, international transfers, and available rights.

Service Continuity {#service-continuity}

What happens if Flowye Licensing System is discontinued?

A: There is no SLA and the service may be interrupted or unavailable. If we discontinue the service, we will provide reasonable advance notice where feasible. We will use best efforts to provide guidance so Creators can keep products usable, but we do not promise a specific technical solution. For security reasons, the system is designed to be non-reversible. Creators must keep secure backups of original, unprotected avatar packages and project files.

Rules & Enforcement {#rules-enforcement}

What's not allowed? (For Creators and End Users)

A: Common examples of misuse include:

  • Sharing avatar files with non-purchasers
  • Attempting to bypass or tamper with activation checks
  • Using one purchase across multiple VRChat accounts

For the detailed restrictions, see Creator Terms of Service.

What if someone breaks the rules or pirates an avatar?

A: The licensing system may detect suspicious activity and may refuse activation or continued authorization for that avatar. The enforcement and termination rules are in Creator Terms of Service.

Can the Terms or license model change?

A: The published documents may be updated over time. Check the "Last updated" date in Creator Terms of Service and Privacy Notice.
